No. The interior bar rules for the cars apply to truck

Can I bolt the cab to the bed of my truck
|
Yes, you may add bolts, but the cab and bed MUST be welded together

I am using a lower engine cradle to mount my motor in place. Can I use the additional tie down straps?

Yes, however you may only attach them to the engine cross member, not the frame rails.

Can
C- channel be used as end plates/door bars with round pipe dash and
seat bars butted up and welded to the channel? Are the door bars able
to be welded to the inside door skin? Are gussets allowed in corners of
this cage?

Yes,
C-channel is ok. Door bars may be welded to the door skin as end
plates (10” x 10”) where dash and seat bar attach. Gussets are ok on
inside corners of cage.

Are engine mounted gas pedals ok?
|
Yes, as long as they don't reinforce the car or protect the distributor in any way.

Can I replace rag joints in the steering column with u-joints?
|
Yes

Can I use non-OEM bolts to hold my bumper brackets to or collapse the Y in the frame?

Can you stub a car before or after it has been derbied? If you can, does it have to be from the same type of car?

You may stub the frame to repair a pre-run only. Same frame as car type. Straight vertical cut and butt-welded only.

Can the hood be welded to the bumper
|
No.
Hood may not be welded directly to the bumper. Non-compression
bumpers may weld body to bumper chrome where natural body lines meet.
No created seams.

Where the rule says “strap” to mount the motor, can angle iron be used instead?
|
yes, angle is ok, 2” x ¼” maximum. The 3” weld on the frame and mounting position rule still applies.

Can you put the 2 additional body bolts through the transmission cross member if it is stock or if it is homemade?
|
Yes.
however, the cross member must be attached to the car at the intended
attachment locations and the transmission must be attached to the cross
member at its intended mounting point.

Are major rust repairs ok?
|
When patching rust holes you may only use the same gauge/thickness of
sheet metal as the original metal and it may not extend more than 2” past the rusted area.

Can you splice in OEM steering components to existing components if the components you want to use are too long or too short?
|
Yes. Straight vertical cut, butt-weld only. No overlap. No added material.
